Welcome to Pineverse ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). Pineverse operates a relocation, moving, packing, storage, and logistics platform that connects individuals and businesses with professional moving companies, vendors, and service providers through our mobile application and associated services.
This Privacy Policy describes how Pineverse collects, uses, processes, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you access or use our Platform. It also describes the choices available to you regarding your personal information.
By downloading, installing, or using the Pineverse application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
This Policy complies with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (SPDI) Rules, 2011 (India), and the Google Play User Data Policy.
Information We Collect
Pineverse collects information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
2.1 Personal Identification

2.2 Location Data

Pineverse collects foreground and background location data when tracking features are active. Background location occurs only with your explicit consent. See Section 16 for full disclosure.
2.3 Device Information
- Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers (e.g. Android Advertising ID)
- Mobile network operator and connection type
- App version, installation identifiers, and push notification tokens

Location Data Usage
Location access is essential to delivering core logistics and relocation services.
4.1 Relocation Tracking
When you initiate an active relocation job, Pineverse uses your device's GPS to display real-time progress of your goods from origin to destination.
4.2 Nearby Service Matching
Your location is used to identify and display Service Providers operating in your area, ensuring accurate quotations from vendors who can physically serve your location.
4.3 Route Assistance
Location data is used to calculate estimated travel routes, distances, and time-of-arrival estimates, assisting Service Providers in planning efficient movement of goods.
4.4 Foreground and Background Location
- Foreground Location: Collected when the app is open and actively in use for service matching, quotation, and map display.
- Background Location: Collected only when you have explicitly enabled an active tracking session for an ongoing relocation or shipment.
Background location is never collected without your explicit knowledge and consent. You may disable it anytime via Settings → Apps → Pineverse → Permissions → Location.
Camera and Media Access
Pineverse requests access to your device's camera and media gallery for the following purposes:
- Inventory Documentation: To photograph household items and belongings for relocation assessment
- Profile Photo: To capture or upload a profile picture
- Damage Documentation: To photograph items before and after relocation for condition verification
- Delivery Confirmation: To capture photographic proof of delivery at time of service
- Document Upload: To photograph identification or supporting paperwork for verification
Camera access is requested only when you actively use features that require it. Pineverse does not access your camera in the background or without a direct user action.
Storage Permissions
- Image Upload: To select and upload photographs from your device gallery
- Document Access: To select and upload PDF files, contracts, or invoices
- Downloaded Files: To save booking confirmations, quotation PDFs, and invoices to your device
- Offline Caching: To temporarily cache app data for faster performance on limited connectivity
Pineverse does not access, read, modify, or transmit any files outside those you have explicitly selected for upload or those downloaded through Platform features.
Communication Features
- In-App Chat: Text-based messaging between customers and vendors for discussing relocation requirements and coordinating logistics
- Push Notifications: Automated alerts for booking confirmations, status updates, quotations, and receipts. Manage in device settings.
- SMS and Email Notifications: Transactional messages for important account and booking updates
All in-app communications may be monitored by Pineverse for platform safety, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and service quality. By using in-app messaging, you consent to such monitoring.
Pineverse does not access your device's native phone call logs, SMS inbox, or personal communications outside the Platform.
Payment Information
Your payment details are encrypted and handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS compliant payment partner, Razorpay. Pineverse staff do not have access to your card or banking credentials.
- Pineverse does not store, process, or access complete card numbers, CVV codes, net banking credentials, UPI PINs, or other sensitive banking details
- All payment information is transmitted directly to and processed by Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant)
- Pineverse retains only transaction metadata — amount, currency, date, reference number, and payment status — for record-keeping and dispute resolution

Data Sharing and Disclosure
Pineverse does not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
9.1 Service Providers on the Platform
When you accept a quotation, relevant personal information is shared with the selected Service Provider to facilitate completion of your job. Service Providers are contractually bound not to use your data beyond fulfilling their services.
9.2 Technology and Infrastructure Partners
We share data with trusted vendors including cloud hosting providers, analytics platforms, push notification services, mapping providers, and customer support tools — all contractually prohibited from independent use of your data.
9.3 Legal and Regulatory Obligations
We may disclose information when required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pineverse, its users, or the public.
9.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. You will be notified prior to your data being transferred.
Data Security
- Encryption in Transit: All data is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher
- Encryption at Rest: Sensitive data stored on servers is encrypted using AES-256 or equivalent
- Access Controls: Access restricted to authorised personnel on a strict need-to-know basis, with all access logged and audited
- Secure Authentication: Account access protected through OTP verification and optional biometric authentication
- Regular Security Assessments: Periodic reviews and vulnerability assessments of infrastructure and application code
- Incident Response: Formal data breach response procedure with user notification obligations
While we employ rigorous security practices, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Upon expiry of retention periods, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised.
User Rights and Choices

- Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, or update directly in-app
- Right to Deletion: Request deletion of personal data, subject to legal retention obligations (see Section 18)
- Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format where feasible
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for marketing or background location at any time
- Marketing Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the unsubscribe link or in-app settings
- Location Controls: Manage location permissions in device settings at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us (Section 20). We will respond within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
The Pineverse Platform is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, children under the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or process personal information from individuals under 18.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact support@pineverseapp.com immediately. We will promptly delete such information upon verification.

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy. Third-party providers are contractually required to handle your data consistent with this Policy.
Google Play Compliance
The Pineverse application complies fully with Google Play's Developer Programme Policies and User Data Policy. Sensitive permissions requested and their uses:
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Service matching, tracking, and logistics
- ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION: Active shipment and relocation tracking when explicitly enabled
- CAMERA: Inventory photography, document capture, and delivery confirmation
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13+): Uploading images and saving documents
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Booking and service update notifications
Pineverse presents clear in-app prominent disclosures before collecting sensitive personal data and does not use collected data in any manner that violates Google Play's User Data Policy.
Background Location Disclosure
Explicit disclosure as required by Google Play's Background Location Policy and applicable data protection regulations.
16.1 What is Background Location?
Background location refers to GPS collection when the Pineverse app is not actively displayed — i.e., when minimised, screen locked, or another app is in use.
16.2 Why It's Required
- Active Relocation Tracking: Continuous real-time tracking of in-progress relocation, even when the app is not in the foreground
- Shipment Monitoring: Accurate location-based updates throughout a live delivery, including geofence-triggered milestones
- Route Verification: Recording routes taken during relocation for verification and dispute resolution
16.3 When It's Collected
- You have accepted a confirmed booking or activated a tracking session
- You have granted explicit background location permission when prompted
- An active tracking session is running — collection ceases immediately when the job completes or you end the session
Background location is never collected during general browsing, quote requests, or when no active job is in progress.
Cookies and Analytics
- Mobile Analytics SDKs: Firebase Analytics and similar tools collect aggregated, anonymised data about Platform interactions
- Advertising Identifiers: Your device's Advertising ID may be used for analytics and, where consented, for relevant content. Opt out via Settings → Google → Ads
- Session Tracking: Tracking user sessions to understand feature usage and personalise the in-app experience
On our website, we may use standard HTTP cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand traffic. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised before analysis — we do not use it to build profiles for sale.
Account Deletion Request
You have the right to request deletion of your Pineverse account and associated personal data at any time:
- In-App: Navigate to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the prompts
- By Email: Send a request to support@pineverseapp.com with subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email, including your mobile number for identity verification
Upon verified request: your account will be deactivated within 7 business days and personal data permanently deleted within 90 days, except where retention is legally required.
Changes to This Policy
When we make material changes to this Policy, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Display a prominent in-app notification informing you of the change
- Send an email notification to your registered email for significant changes affecting your rights
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any revised Policy constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, discontinue use and request account deletion per Section 18.
